It was about ten years ago that David and I started talking about his family story. I soon  learned that the California Fiddyment lineage reached back to the early 1850s and was thrilled. I had found a true pioneer family and a real geneaological treasure! 

     I proceeded to interview David. We recorded 55 tapes, researched his family lineage, went over old family letters, and pictures. Finally, we put all the pieces together and brought the family story to you. It has been a great project.  We hope you enjoy the stories!
